Encouraging Your Child

Our hectic, busy lives often leave us with little time to appreciate the magic of encouragement in our children's development of self-esteem. Positive strokes and expressions of love often are forgotten and replaced with negative reprimands. Here's a sure way to remember the importance of praise: take your wrist watch (or other piece of jewelry) and place it on the opposite hand from which you are accustomed to wearing it. Throughout the day, when you look at your watch (or jewelry) on the "wrong" hand, you will be reminded to say something supportive and positive to your child. Dan Feiten, M.D.

PAGS News

As summer activities increase for children, so do sprained ankles, wrists, etc.  Below are videos that show how to safely wrap a sprain with an ace bandage until you can be seen by your medical provider:

  2. Knee
  3. Ankle
Congratulations to Dr. Campbell, Dr. D'Souza, Dr. Jalali and Dr. Mandell for being voted top pediatricans in Northshore Magazine (2017 & 2018).  We have a great team at PAGS!
Dr. Campbell wrote a blog about talking with your children about tragic events happening in the U.S. and worldwide. Please read it if you are looking for information related to discussing these difficult topics.
