Shannon Richardt MSW, joined PAGS in August 2023 as a Clinical Social Worker.
Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a concentration in Trauma studies from Endicott College. She completed her Master of Social Work degree from Boston University in the summer of 2023.
She has experience working in a variety of behavior health settings including hospitals, residential, and day programs. She interned at Moving Forward Counseling Services, where she provided psychiatric assessment and ongoing clinical treatment for children, teens, and adults. She assisted therapeutic groups at 3-Point Foundation where she worked within the Boston public school systems to help teens foster social-emotional growth, inspire social and self-awareness and prepare them for MCAS with projects based on critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
Shannon believes in building a trusting relationship with her patients by creating a safe, supportive, and calming environment. She uses techniques such as CBT, DBT, Mindfulness and solution-focused strategies. She works effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages, sexual orientations, and economic backgrounds in a culturally competent and sensitive manner.
Shannon lives locally with her two rescue cats. She enjoys swimming, cooking, and traveling.
